European Regions Airline Association

The CFO Group, exclusively for ERA airline members, is formed in order to have a platform that promotes sharing best practice in the critical area of finance, costs and expenditure. The Group's focus is intended to support members in improving their efficiency, performance and financial management in specific areas through sharing best practice and communicating relevant information that can help drive meaningful results for each participating member.

The ERA Communications Group is aimed at communications and public relations professionals within ERA member organisations.  Its objectives are:

The Technical Affairs Group meets several times a year. On occasions, the sessions include the Air Safety Group, as the topics covered in this group often affect the same or similar departments within an organisation.

The Industry Affairs Group is ERA's forum for learning about and discussing aero-political affairs that shape our industry. The conclusion of these discussions allows the ERA Directorate to take Members' views to the heart of European policy-making institutions to influence the final regulations – with proven results.

The Group is open to all ERA members and is particularly suitable for those with an industry affairs, commercial, strategic, customer service or marketing role. It generally meets 3 times a year.

The ERA Security Group enables members to contribute 'expert' advice in order to both input and monitor anti-terrorist security programmes mandated by the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), the European Commission (EC), the Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and National Aviation Authorities (NAAs).

ERA advisory Groups provide the main channels of communication between the ERA Directorate and members on all regulatory matters and a variety of other issues.

Members can directly influence ERA's lobbying activities with the European Commission, European Parliament and other government authorities and institutions.

Advisory Groups also allow members to:

• Improve their understanding of the regulatory environment and how it affects their business
• Exchange views and experiences with other members
• Meet with the ERA Directorate's experts
