The Air Safety Group (ASG) meets four times a year. One of these four meetings usually coincides with the Technical Services meetings where the Air Safety, Operations and Maintenance Groups convene at the same venue. Joint Group sessions are held in addition to the separate Group sessions. This allows those issues that overlap between Air Safety, Operations and/or Maintenance to be discussed conjointly.

Objectives

The objective of the ASG is to assist members of ERA to maintain and improve the safety of operations by:

• sharing, collating and communicating safety information
• monitoring trends in air safety and other initiatives and proposing policies, actions and priorities for adoption by the ERA Board
• arranging educational and training functions and material, and
• providing other assistance in safety matters that may, from time to time, be requested by members
