ERA is looking to recruit a Manager Policy & Technical as part of its Directorate team.  The role is open on a full time employment contract basis in the UK or as a secondment from an ERA member to ERA for a minimum period of 18 months. The exact terms and conditions of a secondment are subject to negotiation and agreement.

The job holder must be highly motivated, articulate and energetic.  The job holder should be prepared to lead discussions on policy making on issues affecting ERA’s members as part of the Policy & Technical team.  The focus for the role will be on non-technical aero political policy and environmental matters. An ability to develop reasoned and logical arguments to defend ERA positions before senior decisions makers, regulators and industry experts is essential as is an excellent general knowledge of the business and European regulatory processes.

Excellent spoken, written and presentation skills in English are essential and the job holder must be fully computer-literate in Microsoft products. The role is a full time office based in the UK role and requires regular overnight travel within Europe.
This role is part of a team of 4 people (1 General Manager, 2 other managers and the job holder) within an overall office staff of 13.  A high level of self-motivation and proactivity is required for the role to allow delivery of benefits to ERA's membership with limited supervision.
