MANAGER REGULATORY AFFAIRS
European Regions Airline Association (ERA) is seeking to appoint a Manager Regulatory Affairs to initiate, develop and implement ERA policy as part of the ERA Directorate Regulatory Affairs team. Members of ERA face many challenges arising from new regulations, most of which, if implemented as originally drafted, would impose substantial additional costs and constraints to their businesses. The post holder must be highly motivated, articulate and energetic. He/she should be prepared to lead discussions on policy making covering a variety of strategic and technical issues affecting ERA's members as part of the Regulatory Affairs team. He/she must be able to construct reasoned and logical arguments to defend ERA positions before senior decisions makers, regulators and industry experts but will also recognise the need for diplomacy where called for. The post holder will share their activities within the Regulatory Affairs team. Excellent spoken and written skills in English are essential and the post holder must be fully computer-literate including in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint.
A background in the airline industry and a keen interest in the commercial, technical and strategic challenges facing the airline industry in Europe are essential. Knowledge of European regulatory processes would be desirable. The role is based in Lightwater, Surrey, UK and a full job description is available on request.
