Contingency Planning (Workshop 2)
Thursday 09 October

Of particular interest to ERA member airlines and airports, this workshop encouraged attendees to design and execute a comprehensive and efficient emergency plan and provided a platform for the launch of ERA’s updated crisis aide memoire. The event also promoted interest and support for launching a regular ERA Emergency Planning Group in order to consider the exchange of best practice for Emergency Response in regional aviation and to add value to ERA membership.

Organisations should provide sufficient training on its plans and procedures for all elements of its crisis organisation. Specialist training should be provided to those responsible for family assistance, crisis communications, ‘Go Teams’ and to those station personnel or contractors that have a stated role to assist with an emergency response. This session will provide a valuable ‘table top’ exercise as a practical demonstration of training techniques.
