The European Commission (EC) has published a consultation document on the development of integrated air-rail ticketing.
The EC foresees a need for regulatory action if the industry fails to deliver a solution that the EC considers acceptable.
ERA believes that the integrated booking facilities that already exist demonstrate that these systems will be delivered where there is a commercial benefit. It is inappropriate to threaten a heavy-handed regulatory approach to "solve" a "problem" which has neither been quantified nor even proved to exist.
