VERIFICATION
Verification is a key component of the EU ETS. Airlines must ensure that their annual emissions reports (and tonne-km reports for 2010 only) are verified by an approved verification body before submission to their natural authorities.

IT SYSTEMS
Monitoring and reporting of emissions to national authorities is a key principle of the EU ETS. In order to meet the legal monitoring reporting requirements, IT Systems can be implemented or adapted to reduce the labour intensiveness of the process.
