ERA is proactive in representing members' interests at European Union (EU) and national level on initiatives such as aviation bilateral agreements, European transport policy, air transport industry requests for EU and government interventions and policy changes in the face of external economic events, and EU and individual state requirements for passenger data. ERA also highlights where the implementation of "better regulation" principles could be improved.
