ERA VOTES IN NEW BOARD MEMBERS AT AGM

Padraig O’Ceidigh, Executive Chairman of Aer Arann has been elected Vice President of the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) Board by the members’ Annual General Meeting in Barcelona today. Padraig replaces Elfrieke van Galen of KLM Cityhopper who stepped down earlier this year following her reassignment in KLM.
Padraig joins Per Arne Watle, CEO of Norwegian airline Widerøe who was elected as joint vice president in 2005, when members voted to modify the Articles of Association to include two vice presidents on the ERA Board.
Carlos Bertomeu, CEO, Air Nostrum and Jan Palmer, CEO, Skyways Express were re-elected for a further 3-year term while Captain Klaus Froese, managing director, Lufthansa CityLine was also elected for a 3 year term after the airline’s previous managing director, Karl-Heinz Køpfle took up a new post as Chief Operating Officer in Lufthansa Cargo earlier in the year.
In the Associate I (manufacturers) category, the four manufacturers already represented on the Board were all re-elected: John Doyle, director sales, Embraer; Barry MacKinnon, vice-president markets & airline analysis, Bombardier Aerospace; Rob Hearn, customer services director, BAE SYSTEMS and Clemente Affinito, sales director, ATR.
