The latest Industry Affairs Group (IAG) meeting took place on 6 June at Airport Regions Conference offices in Brussels.

At the recent Council for Environmentally Friendly Aviation (CEFA) meeting, chaired by ERA, progress was made to push for a united industry position on freezing the EU ETS for intra-EU flights.

For some years it has been recognised by ERA members that there is a lack of awareness of the size and scope of the regional industry amongst the financial services industry. Following discussions at the ERA General Assembly in Dublin in September 2012, and at the newly formed ERA Chief Financial Officers Group, a recommendation to commission the production of a financial study paper to assist the finance industry better understand the regional marketplace was sent to the ERA Board for consideration, and this was ratified by the Board in January 2013. ERA now launches this RFP, and expressions of interest are invited, together with a breakdown of proposed methodology and timescales. All submissions must be on paper and delivered to our offices, as stated in the Submission Details section of the RFP, no later than 17 June 2013. 17:00 UK time.
