The recent approval by the European Commission for the acquisition of bmi by IAG included a number of Commitments from IAG in order for regulatory clearance for the transaction to be approved. The Commitments oblige IAG to, amongst other things, release slots on certain short haul and/or long haul destinations to eligible carriers. Operators interested in making applications for these slots or operators who require further information in relation to the Commitments can use the following contact points. The role of the Monitoring Trustee is to monitor the compliance of International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG) with the Commitments attached to the Commission's Decision of 30.03.2012 and to report to the Commission thereon.
