Aviation’s crème de la crème head to France for exclusive industry event
7 October 2019: ERA’s high-profile General Assembly will this year take place in Juan-les-Pins, France, on 8–10 October.
- ERA (European Regions Airline Association) is the voice of European aviation for its 207 members, including airlines, airports, manufacturers and suppliers.
More than 400 aviation leaders and key industry figures will be making their way to the French Riviera this week as part of the annual, exclusive, members-only, ERA General Assembly. Just like the region, the General Assembly is a high-quality event, providing unique business opportunities for its members throughout the course of the three-day event.
With a focussed agenda, the event comprises a wealth of activities, including: an extensive exhibition area, topical conference sessions with expert speakers, ERA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), ERA’s prestigious awards dinner, news conferences, media activities and multiple networking opportunities.
Highlights of the conference will include a keynote address from Pierre-Olivier Bandet, President of HOP! and Air France Executive Committee member; a state of the industry address by ERA President Andrew Kelly; and a high-profile panel discussion with some of the industry’s most senior leaders, around the key topic of airline alliances, joint industry ventures and partnerships.
Additionally, delegates will hear from inspirational speaker Cheryle Robinson Jackson, who, with a trailblazing career in the media, politics and the aviation industry, will share her insights into expanding the talent pool and alternative recruitment methods in order to tackle pilot shortage and the engineering skills gap.
ERA Director General Montserrat Barriga says: “As an exclusive members-only event, the ERA General Assembly provides access to high-profile industry companies and their key executives – namely fellow members and their representatives. The structure and set-up of this premier event is built around the principal interests of our members and will focus on connectivity and how we continue to drive social and economic growth in Europe. I have no doubt that the sessions planned will spark debate and stimulate discussions on the future shape and development of the industry and the regional sector.”
