The requirement to implement fatigue risk management systems is anticipated in 2012.

As air traffic in Europe is expected to grow significantly in coming decades, there is a need to constantly improve aviation safety by learning from aviation accidents and incidents. 

In order to establish the cause of an air accident, it is essential that accident investigation authorities have access to accident sites wherever they occur in Europe.  Procedures for air accident investigation within Europe are currently fragmented which is hindering safety progress and preventing important safety lessons from being learned.

ERA has been lobbying for the regulation of de-icing services for many years and operates its own Icing Standards Group.

Safety Targeted Awareness Reports (STARs) have been created by the ERA Air Safety Group (ASG) following Safety Information Discussions (SIDs) undertaken at meetings of the ASG.
