About the group

The ERA Operations Group provides a platform for members to collaborate on key operational and infrastructure issues.

Key topics include Air Traffic Management covering Communications, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) as well as Single European Sky (SES) developments, near-term operational efficiencies, air operations regulatory matters and much more.

The group meets twice a year, with a joint meeting with the Safety and Security Group held at EASA every December, to both maximise participation and enable more in-depth discussions on overlapping issues.

The Chair of the Operations Group is Juan Manuel Diaz Mayoral of Air Nostrum.

The ERA Safety and Security Group provides a dedicated forum for members to collaborate on critical safety and security matters, ensuring the highest operational standards across the industry. Through regular meetings, members exchange knowledge, discuss emerging risks, and shape ERA’s positions on regulatory developments.

The group meets twice per year. A spring meeting which includes a dedicated day exclusively for flight safety managers, allowing for in-depth discussions and sharing of safety events and best practices in a Chatham House-style environment.

The group offers a vital opportunity to stay ahead of evolving safety and security challenges while fostering collaboration across the industry.

The Chair is Alain Corbel of HOP!, the Vice-chair is Brice Reding of Luxair.
