Jonathan Sumner is the Passenger Markets Director for Hybrid Air Vehicles, having joined the company in May 2026 to lead the business development and sales strategy for Airlander 10 across its passenger applications.
Prior to joining HAV, Sumner was Chief Strategy Officer for JetSetGo Aviation Services in India, with a focus on leading the development of Advanced Air Mobility solutions in both Urban Air Mobility and Regional Air Mobility use cases. He worked closely with Indian policymakers, regulators and industry partners to help position India as a contender for global leadership in AAM solutions and new business models.
Sumner’s background includes; marketing in major international airlines including United Airlines and Delta Air Lines, entrepreneurial roles in a range of start-ups, new ventures and new technologies, leading the go-to-market strategy for the Farnborough F1 air taxi, and leading the launch of on-demand private jet platform Victor as Managing Director.
Passionate about tackling climate change through new technology, Sumner sees HAV and Airlander as a major opportunity to decarbonise regional aviation.
