Maja Marciniak is a Senior Economist in the Sustainability and Economics division at IATA, where she leads economic assessments of the aviation industry’s competitiveness. Her work includes evaluating the impact of fiscal measures on industry performance and connectivity, as well as analysing the economic implications of sustainability policies, accessibility provisions, slot allocation rules, airport and air traffic control charges and delays.

Prior to joining IATA, Marciniak worked as a consultant advising Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) on strategic and business planning in air traffic management. Her expertise spans operational and environmental performance enhancement, investment appraisal and regulatory analysis. She completed numerous projects for aviation regulators and supported more than 20 ANSPs operating in diverse regulatory and operational environments.
