Sandro Raposo is the Chief Operational Officer at the SATA Group, with over 30 years of experience in the aviation sector. Throughout his career, he has held key leadership roles spanning flight operations, schedule planning, network development and revenue management, contributing to the strategic growth of both SATA Air AƧores and Azores Airlines.
Raposo began his career in 1996 as a Flight Operations Officer and progressively advanced to leadership positions, including Director of Pricing and Revenue Management and Director of Network and Revenue. In his current role as COO, he oversees the operational strategy of the SATA Group, ensuring that both SATA Air AƧores and Azores Airlines fulfill their mission of providing connectivity within the Azores region and to international destinations. His focus combines safety, efficiency and sustainable growth, while promoting the role of aviation in supporting regional development and local communities.
He holds academic degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of the Azores and has earned IATA certifications in revenue management, dynamic pricing and network planning. Raposo combines analytical rigour with strategic insight, driving initiatives that enhance airline performance and contribute to regional development.
