Laura Kancel

Laura Kancel joined the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) in April 2025 as a Policy Officer for Industry Affairs. She supports ERA’s advocacy and covers several files, notably air passenger rights, EU Air Service rules (Reg. 1008/2008), the 2014 Guidelines on State aid to airports and airlines, and tourism. Laura is working closely with members and policymakers to promote ERA’s policy agenda.   

Before joining ERA, Laura worked as a Policy Officer for Airlines for Europe (A4E). She completed traineeships at European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME – the confederation of voluntarily associated SMEs – and in the French administration.  

Laura holds a Master’s degree in European and International Business law from the Strasbourg faculty of law and a Bachelor’s degree from the University Paris II Pantheon-Assas. She is fluent in English and French, with intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
