Montserrat Barriga has been ERAA (European Regions Airline Association) Director General since November 2017. She is responsible to ERAA’s Board for the delivery and implementation of ERAA’s strategy as well as the advocacy work of the association on policy and technical matters. Under her leadership, ERAA is highlighting the regional aviation sector’s vital contribution to Europe’s future economic prosperity and social cohesion, particularly in those regions of Europe dependent on air connectivity.
Prior to her appointment as ERAA Director General, Montserrat worked at ERAA member airline Binter as Director of International Development and Industry Affairs, focusing on the airline’s regulatory needs and international development. Before this, she headed up strategy development at Pullmantur Group, which included a cruise line, tour operators, retail travel agencies and a charter airline.
