Nick Rhodes

Head of Airline Operations

Nick Rhodes joined the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) in January 2020 and currently serves as Head of Airline Operations. In this role, he leads the association’s advocacy and strategic engagement across a wide range of operational issues, including flight and ground operations, airline safety, security, and EU social dialogue. He represents member airlines at high level European forums, influencing policy and regulatory developments in air traffic management and operational efficiency. Before joining ERA, Nick spent six years at EUROCONTROL as one of two airline association experts permanently embedded with the Network Manager. He also ran his own consultancy, providing technical expertise to the SESAR Joint Undertaking. From 1999 to 2014, he held a variety of management roles at UK regional airline Flybe in flight dispatch and flight operations, also chairing the UK NATS Operational Partnership and the UK/Ireland FAB Service Provision Working Group.Â
